Nominations now open for 2026 Barbara Cox Award

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Barbara Cox Award, recognising an exceptional woman whose leadership, dedication, innovation and community impact inspire others across the automotive industry.  

This prestigious ‘Woman of the Year’ award honours the legacy of the late Barbara Cox, former director of Cox Enterprises, Cox Automotive’s parent company based in the US.  Cox Automotive Australia (CAA) is a major sponsor of this local award program, delivered in conjunction with Women in Automotive

Nominations are open to women and non-binary individuals working across all areas of the automotive industry, regardless of role or specialisation, anywhere in Australia.  Please note that Cox Automotive Australia and Manheim employees are not eligible to be nominated.  

About this year’s award event:

This year’s winner will be announced from a shortlist at the fourth annual Women in Automotive Signature Luncheon in Melbourne in October.  Along with industry-wide recognition, the winner will be granted $5,000 to be used for personal development. 

About the 2025 Barbara Cox Award Winner, Tegan:

Last year’s winner was Tegan Blockey, dealer principal of Northern Territory dealerships Bridge Toyota and Lexus of Darwin – an inspiring leader who does a tremendous amount of good for her community while leading a substantial dealer footprint in a region where Toyota dominates.
